Tallow presents The Great Calm

For a short time only, Tallow invites you to view the online release of The Great Calm 20min Full Feature, released in March 2011 at the Byron Bay International Film Festival and debuted at the Amstel Surfilm Festibal in Spain. The experimental film is a visual short story uncovering the moods, movements and imaginations of four different women with one common ground. Featuring Cloudy Rhodes, Tallow proudly presents their premiere film The Great Calm.

'After the Storm' by Mumford & Sons was my most replayed song this recent autumn. It made its way onto my playlist after discovering it, and as they say life imitates art. Somehow the chorus worked its way around my little head, became a bit of a mantra really. So that was it, and now I am a fan. Hence I was excited to find this new song of theirs to be released in next years album. Its called Home and you can hear it here.

Big Hill

Delightful weekend somewhere in the backwaters of Big Hill....

My home, for the past three days....so much to explore.

The day that was

The day started promising with a hey tell prank...
aimed for a surf, but it was only a day for long distance paddling...
try for a photoshoot of the soon to be new tuna in town, but too windy to glass today...
ok so went whale watching, unsuccessful, whales too busy taking advantage to rest their tails by floating upstream with the south swell...
instead take a stroll down to Winnie Bay with my alltime loves, Betbe and Roro, and back in time to crack open the thermos in the spaceshuttle, sharing home made mediterranean muffins...
then home to curl up under some blankets, and read about Shipstern lads, King Island ol timers and Irish dark side of the lens film makers, while listening to Boy and Bear belt out 'Im so damn cold', ...relentless W/sth west wrapping around my little cave outside, ok ok so Im really feeling the cold in my core, time to take a warm bath and put my bedsocks on.

30 years

30 years I've walked this earth with her, ...or doubled her around as it may seem, actually these days I think she mostly doubles me around.  Happy birthday lil sis.
